The Former Sekikawa Family Villa

Outline


The Former Sekikawa Family Villa was built from late in the Edo era until early in the Meiji era by the Sekikawa family who were conducting various trade in Esashi from the Edo era to the Meiji era. There are two buildings, a main house and a warehouse. The Sekikawa family’s furniture heirlooms are exhibited within the warehouse.
They were designated as tangible cultural properties of Esashi-cho on the 14th July, 1981.
