We highly recommend exploring the town by rental bike during the coming season.
Since the town is compact, it’s easy to visit all the sights,
and the electric-assist bikes make tackling hills a breeze.

“Marine Sports Exchange Center” inside Esashi Port Marina
Look for the Kaiyo Maru parking lot (free).
Directions from the Hakodate area.
Turn right onto the road near the red arrow just past the Kamome Island sign.
Directions from the Matsumae area.
Turn left onto the road near the red arrow just before the Kamome Island sign.
Continue straight ahead.
When you see the sign, please proceed toward the Kaiyo Maru temporary office.
Parking is free, so please park here.
Go past the side of the building and head further in.
This is the bike rental office.
※Please note that bicycle rentals are not available at the Tourist Information Center.
